Welcome to the Springbank Ladies Curling League! Our focus is to have fun and develop friendships while enjoying the winter sport we love! We can accomodate 24 teams in the league and welcome any level of experience. Our league is currently full for this season.

2023-2024 Fees: $1548/4 person team. Teams may elect to have a 5th or 6th curler at the cost of $35/additional curler which allows them to be included in prizes and any subsidized social events. **Note for players that register at other curling clubs: the Curling Alberta player fee of $13 is paid by the Springbank Curling Club, so you can opt out of this fee at other clubs.

Registration process: All players on teams must complete an annual on-line registration form on the Springbank Curling Club website, sign up for the leagues they are curling in and acknowledge the Curling Canada Waiver.

Monday League Start Date: There will be 21 nights of curling starting Monday, Sept. 25 with 6:30 and 8:45 start times. The number of ends played within the 2 hours of ice time is determined by the buzzer system. When the buzzer rings finish the end you are playing and play one more end. No curling -Thanksgiving Oct. 9, Christmas break Dec. 25 & Jan.1, 2024 and Family Day Feb. 19, 2024. Our last night of curling is March 11.

League Format: Teams will be divided into 4 divisions (6 teams each) to start the year as a seeding round of 5 games. Placement is determined by standings from last season or if a new team, based on team experience. This will be followed by 2 rounds with A,B and C divisions, 7 nights of curling in each. After each round, teams will be reseeded based on points earned in the previous Round. We will finish the year with 2 playoff nights.

Scoring: Please have a team member email the scores to me after each game [email protected] Results will be posted on our SCC website in the Member Menu on the right. Go under "League Information" using the drop down to "Teams, Schedule, Standings" then select Monday Ladies.

Members enjoy meeting before and after the games in our upstairs Ice Breaker Lounge and we often host 2 social events. Our Christmas party is tentatively scheduled for December 18 along with a regular curling game. The Year End Windup Party is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024 (no curling that evening).

Our A Teams have the opportunity to qualify for the Curling Alberta Club Championships presented by Original 16. Deadline for the team Roster is March 4, therefore since we haven't had our playoffs by that date to determine our Club Champion, the qualifying eam will be decided by total points earned in Round One and Two.  Championship Dates: Women's qualifier March 7-10, 2024 at the Hanna Curling Club. Provincials are April 2-7,2024 at the Airdrie Curling Club. Canadians TBA.

The Monday Night Ladies Curling League had 24 registered teams and curled 21 nights ending with a 2 night playoff. We had our Year End Windup Party on March 20 where teams were awarded cash prizes for their placement in each division. A delicious Tuscan Chicken dinner prepared by Ben and his staff at the Springbank Icebreaker Lounge was enjoyed by all and several curlers went home with a door prize. It was a fun way to wrap up a great season of curling! We hope to see you all back in the fall.

Congratulations to our Division Champions:

Team Buckley proudly represented the Springbank Curling Club first at the Granite Curling Club in Coaldale where they won the A qualifier, then advancing to the Provincial Club Championships in Lethbridge March 28- April 2. The team gave it their best shot and although they didn't come out on top, they had several close games and had a fun experience curling the best club teams from Alberta.
